Used To by Matias Bottaro 5°C2.

Are you the same as you used to be some years ago?

Probably most of the people in this population was changed a lot over the years.

-For example in my case, I used to be funnier than now, and I did not used to have so many responsabilities, so now I have a lot of them, like the homework that my highschool teachers gives me, and my English projects, too.

I am going to give more examples with two pictures: (Pictures 1- and 2-).

Picture 1-
                                                                            (2010)
Picture 2-

                                                                               (2022)

-In these two pictures we can see that when the man who is in the photos was younger he used to be a basketball player but now he works in an office with a computer, and he did not use to be a passive person, but now he is.
In my opinion I would prefer to be an basketball player than a man who works in an office, becasue I am an active person and I do not like to stay still in one place.

Here how and when can we use "used to":

We use this phrase to describe something that we did in the past but that we do not do anymore. We can use this to talk about past hobbies, jobs or even just habits that we have since left behind or replaced with new ones. As I show, with the examples we can see how we are supposed to use these two usefull words.
